A few boys from Form 5 (1976) who normally reside outside Kuching were back in Cat Town tonight.
In particular our buddies John Lee (based in Huddersfield, UK) and Kevin Chin (based in Perth, Australia) were home. Leong Kueh Fook (normally in KL) also happened to be around.
The following photos and short video reflect the happy get-together ...
See whether you can recognise everybody.
Here's a little video taken by Ben ...

ReplyDeleteWelcome home boys !!... John & all, you all are looking great as ever..
ReplyDeleteTake care & best wishes for the new year 2012 !!
Where is this restaurant? Good?
ReplyDeleteI'm told the makan was at Permata 25 Seafood at One Jaya in Tabuan Jaya....
ReplyDeleteI see quite a few of our top St Joe sportsmen in the photos.
ReplyDeleteOne Jaya is a shopping complex situated along Jalan Song. Permata 25 Seafood is at top floor, formerly from Top Spot at Permata car park.
ReplyDeleteFood is okay and we all ate seafood like crap fried with eggs, fried salted big prawns, curry ambal(bamboo shell fish), curry fish head, tang hoon, belachan ladys finger veg. and of course red wine and whisky to wash down with.
Many thanks to Khoon Teck and Stanley Chong for footing the bills.
Oh yes, I forgot to mention that Bob Chew brought along some fruits like mangosteen, langsat and rambutans too, he said especially for Mr.& Mrs. John Lee but we all makan too.
ReplyDeleteHai everybody, just to let you all know that I've 'reveal' myself to some of the boys last night who 'SinBoonPoh' is and do not want to hide anymore.
ReplyDeleteSinBoonPoh is NL, and also known as Sabun King.
In future, all my comments will sign off as NL.
Just like John Lee and George Lo said, no fun(thought it was) reading comments without knowing who you are. Cheers!!
@NL - Wooooaaaaahhhhh ... I'm sooooo surprised .. NOT !!!
ReplyDeleteSince we're all in confession mode, any commentator with "Jaga" at the end of the name is me ... but you probably guessed that. Ha ha!
Look at fig 3 - the hands of Nick, George, Robert and Jude folded in same pattern ...left hand covering right wrist in front of body. Any body language expert who could explain the meaning? Notice how stomachs of all front row guys are sucked in big time?
ReplyDeleteThat's the classic "protecting the crown jewels" stance ...
ReplyDeleteThe four of them trying to 'cover' their pot bellies with their hands loh, and the rest are sucking their bellies in hard, very hard indeed.
ReplyDeleteWJ, not be so naughty or else I'll pull your ears.
Hi.....All
ReplyDeleteOn behalf of the visitors (Kevin, Kueh Fook and myself together with my missus), I would like to thank everybody at the gathering. It was such a big turn out in a short notice. Many thanks goes to the grand master of the organising committee, Bob Chew (apparently all such meetings/gatherings has to be "authorised" by him!!!) and of course Koon Teck & Stanley Chong who footed the meal.
Finally, SinBoonPoh has revealed himself and Sabun King the one and only Norbert!!!!!
Hopefully there will be other gatherings with those who did not made it that night as I will be here for another couple of weeks.
It was a fab day for me to meet those class friends, some of whom I have not met for more than 30 years.
PS: I also have the opportunity to meet a few who are now based in KL - Lawrence, Kueh Fook and Chee Kok & Lee Kien was there too. Unfortunately there were also others who could not make it.
My next port of call will be in Singapore on Tuesday. Hope to meet up with James (Website Jaga) and others too. James, my number is: 0192621176.
John, I've emailed you to arrange ... have got in touch with a couple of the boys in SG, eg Richard Lim Ngee Hong & Chen Liang Fang.
ReplyDeleteMy condolence to Robert Chin on the passing of his elder sister yesterday. Take care brother.
ReplyDeleteWhat's Kee How eating in pic.2?
DeleteThank you, NL
DeleteMy condolence Robert.
